God is really moving through Catholic Schoolhouse, Inc., our chapter support arm which is a 501(c)(3) organization that serves Catholic homeschool communities throughout the US and internationally, has grown temendously! This growth is creating opportunities for you to be involved–not just contribute, but truly be involved in something that you are passionate about.
We have many opportunities, both volunteer and compensated, for ministry-minded Catholic Schoolhouse members to further our mission of assisting Catholic communities which in turn form tomorrow’s Catholic leaders.
Chapter support positions available for immediate start:
Returning Director Support Coordinator
Do you understand role and needs of CSH directors? Coordinate continuing education efforts to bring them all closer to mission and philosophy. Manage re-registration process, contacting as necessary to assure a smooth process. Handle specific needs that are escalated beyond peer mentoring in Basecamp, giving support needed or referring to another. Follow through to assure their issue was resolved. Interface with training and events teams as needed. Assure they have resources needed to be successful, including documents from CSH in Basecamp and on directors.catholicschoolhouse.com. Be attentive to training needs, additional support needed and possible policy suggestions to facilitate making their jobs as easy as possible. Interface with ED and New Director Coordinator to assure consistency across programs.
Upper Level Coordinator
Are you involved with our upper level program? Parents or tutors would be a good fit to answer questions and offer specialized guidance and encouragement to UL chapter teams. Assess promotional materials for effectiveness. Interface with UL Development coordinator to improve delivery and ease of use of UL. Interface with training team to ensure needs are being met.
Grammar Coordinator
Are you passionate about our flagship program that gives a foundation for all else we do? The Grammar Coordinator will answer questions and offer specialized guidance and encouragement regarding the Grammar portion of CSH. Monitor Basecamp to assess needs and suggest improvements, then possibly implement those improvements. Assess promotional materials for effectiveness. Interface with training to assure grammar program training is on mission and abides by our philosophies. Report regularly to the ED any concerns or proposals.
Pre-Grammar Coordinator
Do you understand the value of family unity–including our littlest members? Our pre-grammar coordinator will oversee development of the pre-grammar program. Meet regularly with the developers and authors to offer guidance and help keep the project on mission. Establish and oversee review process for the pre-grammar program, including delivery methods, promotional materials, and editing. Work with our amazing authors, training, and chapter coordinator to establish suggested policy for flexible implementation of pre-grammar program. Interface with training team to ensure needs are being met.
Training Coordinator
Oversee all aspects of training and training development, including the assignment of tasks and writing duties for training segments, to assure consistency and integration. Interface with UL, grammar, and pre-grammar coordinators to assesses needs in the development process. Assign tasks to team members, establish review process for team tasks. Establish review process for complete training program. Interface with events coordinator and chapter coordinator to establish calendar. Report regularly to ED and chapter coordinator to assure we are staying on mission. Assist in publicizing training events.
Training Team Members
Have you been to a Catholic Schoolhouse training and have ideas you would love to share? Or did you have familiarity with best training prattices? Work with other team members and training coordinator to develop and implement effective training program(s) for CSH members–parents, tutors, and directors. May include video, speaking, written, Powerpoint, online class implementation and other technical skills. Volunteer and compensated opportunities available depending on the desired responsibility.
Debate Steering Team Members
Looking for 2 volunteer members to assist the debate coordinator, in support and steering of our program, integrated with the National Catholic Debate league. Members from 6th-12th grade get nationwide experience in a debate club that is Catholic, forming tomorrows leaders.
Special Needs Steering Team Members
Opening for 2 volunteer members to assist our special needs coordinator in support and steering of our special needs support team. No specialized training or degree necessary, just a heart for the journey we take as parents of special needs children, and the joy found therein.
Basecamp Team Moderators
Monitor one Basecamp team, checking in at least daily, to flag any concerns or messages that violate our policy, tone, or mission. Work together with other team moderators and Basecamp coordinator to make Basecamp the best it can be! More details available on request.
IT Development Team–Information Specialist
Create system for automation of membership needs. Research to improve/update/revamp current website in technical and information.
Promotional/Marketing
Team members to lead and support marketing initiatives to assure the correct information is getting to the public. Work with IT development team to update and improve delivery of this information digitally. Graphic design and writing abilities a plus.
Membership Coordinator
Assure that all members lists are up-to-date. Place all members in correct teams and adjust those members as requested by directors. Monitor all teams for improper assignments. Work with Basecamp coordinator to communicating proper Basecamp etiquette and policy. Assist in finding a long-term, automated membership solution.
Legal/Accounting/Insurance Specialists
Help to implement best practices in these challenging areas of chapter management. Working primarily with new directors to help them navigate what they need to do. Assist in creating training and educational aids. Become a guru in your area to share what CSH can do to help when questions arise. Will work extensively with new director coordinator and ED to get better policies in place
