Hands-On Science
Hands-On Science
Scientific discovery aligned to the Catholic Schoolhouse Timeline
YOU can teach science!
Catholic Schoolhouse Science Program gives students a discovery-based experience through a variety of experiments, projects, and demonstrations. Hands-on lessons correspond with our Memory Work while also encouraging students to develop observation and scientific skills.
Use as Science Program at-home homeschooling activity guide, in your co-op, or with your Catholic Schoolhouse Chapter. Written for small groups, yet very suitable for at-home use, especially with a multi-age family where all can join in together. Tips are included for the teacher to ensure a smooth-running science class and encourage students to become the best “scientists” they can be.
Our science stays with a topic for an entire quarter, making it easy for the parent to build at-home curriculum using the guide topics as a starting point. The topics covered are those studied in a typical elementary education, helping to prevent gaps in your student’s science education.
In a Catholic Schoolhouse Chapter, a dedicated science tutor is able to prepare more thoroughly and bring inspiration to the students.
If you are with a registered Catholic Schoolhouse Chapter, you will receive two free copies for your tutor and Chapter Director.

Catholic Schoolhouse
Catholic Schoolhouse was founded in 2007 to enhance education in the grammar stage by providing classical memory work for the Catholic homeschool. Going beyond simple memory work, the developers enlisted experts in all areas of study and a wide variety of resources, Catholic and secular, homeschool and non-homeschool to determine what information is typically encountered during the elementary school years (K-8).
Individual families, chapters and co-ops are able to succeed, bring family unity to teaching, and belong to a greater Catholic community with Catholic Schoolhouse.
Catholic Schoolhouse is loyal to the magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.
